Update by request!

Well, it's good to know that someones reads this since they're complaining I don't update! I guess once you get into this, it's a real commitment! I kind of just intended it to be during our trip to China, but I'll try to humour you by adding something in now & then. I guess I need to ask for inspiration to keep it up!

Anyhow, not much to share except that we have a friend that's in jail right now so we're praying for her (it's a long story but she's really not the criminal type!).

And my dad is here visiting from Princeton (just got here today).

I have been thinking about the importance of faith and being thankful and trusting God when there's disappointment and struggles. And having perspective.

We had a great time out for lunch with a young asian friend from church. He's an inspiring guy, with how God has worked in his life.

It's hard being a parent! Even when it's a "spiritual" one, too. It's hard dealing with sorrow over other's choices, but it's a good reminder that it's God alone who can meet our needs. And it makes me think of how God's heart breaks for His lost children.
