Li Shan

Today we hiked up a mountain (Li Shan) to see if we could find out anything about a Taoist temple at the top. This temple is dedicated to "Nuwa" the "mother" of mankind, who patched up the cracks in the sky after a catastrophe. "Nuwa" sounds surprising similar to Noah (seems they got the gender mixed up). We had a good hike, but didn't find out much more than we already knew. It was SO hot today! Bill is up a cave where Chiang Hai Chek hid (the leader of Taiwan who fled from the communists) - having trouble flipping around the pictures - sorry!
